Anyone else seen this cinematic masterpiece!?! I got it from NetFlix the other day (one reason NetFlix rocks.. they always have the most obscure, insane movies!!!)

What do you think of it?

Hahahah, I got this on Netflix myself last week!

I have to say, the movie itself was just bad. Bad, bad bad bad bad. Horrid acting, awful dialog, bad premis, bad COSTUMES and just wow, I'm overcome with the bad that the movie was. There was the "love scene" which was, erm, interesting and uncomfortable in a not quite believeable/"a little too close-comfortable to real life and it shows" way but yeah, Henry's got the nicest bum...but I KNEW THAT before watching this movie! I could just give a small inward cheer that Henry likes (liked) short, curvy whackadoodles from Rochester, NY. *big-grin*

That being said, I DID like a great deal of what Lydia Lunch had to say in the interview section of the disk. She's a whole hell of a lot more out there than is in my own personal realm of madness, but I don't write her off entirely now that I've seen the interview with her. I am tempted now to look up more of what she has written to see if I can make it through it and come away with something.

The love scene was quite interesting, yes. I've read Bajema's book... he can write but he definately can't act!!!

I love Lydia to death, I think she's got great things to say in her spoken word shows from what little I have seen and heard... but sometimes, after watching "Kiss Nepoleon Goodbye" and having gotten the Richard Kern collection from NetFlix, it is almost as if she writes these kinds of movies for the soul purpose of making out and having violent fake sex with as many punker guys as possible! lol If you have not seen "The Right Side Of My Brain" and "Fingered" get the RK collection and see what you think.. ;) My friends affectionately refer to "Right Side.." as "PUNKER PORN"... lol

Oh absolutely...I watched "Right Side of My Brain" (and the rest of the RK collection) on Amazon's on-demand for like two dollars. I think that's why I liked seeing the interview and spoken word clips of hers better than "KNG". She talked about how when she was younger she would be with so many different men, for the thrill, the rush or the need or whatever she called it at the time and never understood until later why the experiences would always fall short of her needs. That she was trying to fill a void with "Punker" and in general dangerous and desparate dick when that void could only be filled by herself. Watching that older work you see it. You see her trying to get guys to dominate her or control her, use her and give her more purpose than she could find for herself at the time. I think with age as come significant wisdom, unfortunately at the expense of knowing all she did to herself to get where she is.

Maybe that's the real reason for the movie(s) being released recently. Not so much to showcase the AMAZING acting skills of Bajema, Lunch and Rollins (alien studies?!?) but to make the comparison of who they were and what their work was about then and who they are now and what they are about now. For that reason alone, I would recommend people check it out.

A additional random observation...

I hate the whole way Lydia kisses in any film she's in...her tongue all out; floppy and no finesse. I mean, come on! Who kisses like that?!? Yuck.

I'm going to meet my pal in a few weeks. She has a copy of this. I'm not a big fan of Lydia's at all, but I'm curious. I'll look for Henry's backside in anycase ;)

I got it from Netflix, too. Pretty bizarre but the sex scene makes it worth it.

I loves me some Henry, but I couldn't watch all that. It just was too boring.
