I've been home with the flu the past two days, and my copy arrived yesterday. I read part yesterday and finished it today. It was an addictive yet exhausting read.

I finished my initial read through of it on Monday.
The man never ceases to break my heart, inspire me and infuriate me all at the same time. I enjoyed the book but I have to say, this one seemed a bit less, compared to others and even this years "Preferred Blur", which had in it a line of the most beautiful imagery I may have possibly ever read, in regards to the light scent of a woman's perfume in cold weather as she walks by being like finding an apple in the snow. I know it's a paraphrase but thoughts like that pepper a majority of his books. Not always about women and not always about nice things (actually frequently NOT about nice things), but definitely painting a vivid picture of a pure yet indefinable emotion. Mad Dash, at least on first read, is chock full of facts and a whirlwind of travel but it seems a bit bereft of my Dear Henry's heart.
